    2 x ATI Radeon HD 5870 or ATI Radeon HD 7970 ?

I have been using 2 x ATI Radeon HD 5870 in my system and they have been working well but then I have checked out some benchmarks but then 2 x ATI Radeon HD 5870 are appearing to be within ATI Radeon HD 7970, so I am pretty confused in deciding out if it will be worth getting 7970 or not, is there anyone who can help me out in taking a better decision.

Can you just post your system specification here so that I can have a better idea of the case you are trying to deal with, as far as I am aware 2 x ATI Radeon HD 5870 are enough but then your system specs will give a brief idea about the same, just mention it here for further help/

See I will suggest you to go for ATI Radeon HD 7970 for the below two reasons:
    • If you want to have more Vram
    • If you want to game heavily at high resolutions with max settings

But then if it is just about benchmark then I will suggest you to stay with 2 x ATI Radeon HD 5870.

I really agree to the above user, anyways I have recently switched from 2x6970s to single 7970 and I am really happy with the same, I am able to overclock the 7970 up to 1200+ core and 1650+Mem but then I have found very less people to achieve the same, so here I just wanted to say that if you are planning for overcloking and so then only go for 7970 else 2 x ATI Radeon HD 5870 will really be strong enough for current games at 1080p. Hope you are not confused now.
