How to get 4:3 larger images on vertically mounted LCD?

recently I have purchased 24’’ LCD. Is that possible to mount the LCD and rotating the screen so that I can get 4:3 image. I tried the same but I was not able to get anything to resolve the above mentioned issue. if you know anything useful about the same then let me know as early as possible. Thanks a lot in advance.

Well according to me you will be able to get the same by making use of layout files which are used for the bezel artwork.

I am not sure about but you can get the above mentioned things by using either of the solutions.

    1. Mame is having an option into the slider control sections into the config screen which will allow you to scale and you have to move the display. I have done the same so that vertical game fit into 4:3 viewing window into the glass placed front of 5:4 LCD panel.
    2. If you are having a Nvidia graphics card and monitor which is having support for DVI/HDMI then you will be able to make use of Nvidia control panel so that you will be able to adjust scaling as well as placement of your screen.
