Exclamation Intel GMA X3000 showing low memory

    Hello everyone!
I recently checked my system info and found out something contradictory.
The memory size of Intel GMA X3000 video adapter is around 384MB (which is at least 256MB, in some cases). But in my pc it shows only 96MB. I used to play games with high video memory requirements quite well before. But now they won't even run. My video memory used to show 256MB before. But now 96MB. Please help. I don't know what to do regarding this. I have checked the video memory allocated through BIOS. It also shows 256MB. Then what's the problem? Kindly check the screenshot I've attached. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Having looked at your screen shot it appears to me that there is some problem with your video card drivers only. Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest and the updated video drivers would be a better option for you. So do give a try and revert me back if it works or not.

Sorry for the late reply though.

I've already tried it. But to no avail.
However, I've recently come across a very strange thing.
checking the same thing randomly gave the result 128MB.
And checking again after few minutes showed 96MB.
Don't know what to do. Will try a fresh installation of windows and see if the problem persists.

I will suggest you to check out your video card in some other machine and see if it is making any difference, just try it out and then let me know what you get.

It's integrated. I don't know whether or not it's possible to remove it and try on a different system.

No it wont be possible to take out the integrated video card. updating the video card driver should have made some difference any ways you have mentioned previously that you will try out a fresh installation of windows, so have you tried out the same???
