Monitor VGA to Laptop VGA, Low Refresh rate, Black Screen

I have connected the Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop to an ASUS monitor using the VGA cable to the VGA port. The monitor works perfect but the display seems weird. Sometimes it looks nice but sometimes just bunch of black screen and low refresh rate. The refresh rate is 60Hz. The laptop has a latest video card driver. Don’t know what is causing the problem.

    In Windows 7:
    • Right click on the desktop
    • In the new window, select - Properties -
    • In top right, click on the tab - Settings -
    • The window display - Settings appears -
    • Please click on the top right, bottom, button - Advanced -
    • Then in the next window, make click - Monitor -
    • The next screen refresh rate of the screen, click the small black triangle down
    • You can choose the refresh rate, but be careful, because if you go immediately to the greater can cause headaches.

We can set the refresh rate. If the game only 60 Hz, and can be set and the highest rate, be careful with high backgrounds, not to cause headaches.

The connections of laptop LCD's are not standardized. Moreover, this is not a VGA port, which sticks out there with you, so you'd need probably suitable electronic system for implementation.

Me too had the same problem on laptop with an LCD TV 107cm. I think it comes from the VGA connector or the graphics card for me. When I uninstall the drivers for my ATI graphics card and I actually use the original card which is integrated into the motherboard everything started working fine again.
