HP t5740e Thin Client shows no output on Monitor

I have started using the HP T5740E today. After configuring it with the server, I booted up but I didn’t get anything on the VGA monitor. I tried another monitor also and there also the same. No output at all. I can hear the sound when the system is booting. So I think that there is no problem with the Thin Client. What else could be?

You have to connect the monitor before powering on the Thin client. As far as I know that there is only Display Port connector. If you are using the DVI monitor, you should get something like DP to DVI adapter in order to get output.

I have heard that there is a BIOS update available for Thin client and that is of the version 1.04. you should try to get that BIOS and try again.

It seems to me that you are having problem with the port itself. There is no signal coming to the VGA port and due to this there is nothing on the monitor. Check that whether the port is fine or not. Since you have told that you tried the different monitor. So it is probably a problem with the Thin Client. You should consider sending it back and getting the new one from the HP.

How did you configure the Thin Client?

Have you installed the proper drivers for all the components and peripherals?

I don't have any knowledge with thin clients but i can assume that it is happening due to the missing drivers. You should try to re-install or re-configure everything again. it should fix problem.
