No change in performance after SLI with another ASUS GTX 560TI

I bought another ASUS GTX 560TI so that I can SLI them together in order to get the performance boost. Before putting the graphic card on the computer I was getting 17 and 23 fps however after enabling SLI I get the same thing. though i am using both the graphic cards. The monitor which I am using Acer GD245HQ. Let me know if you are having any useful information to get rid out from the problem.

Do you have enabled SLI visual indicator on NVCP? It will help you out how GPU’s are scaled. In order to enable the same you have to use below mentioned steps.
    • You have to launch NVIDIA Control Panel.
    • Go for 3D Settings where you will get menu option named as Show SLi Visual Indicators.

Finally I have managed to fix the matter by myself only. When I off 3d by simply lowering down the refresh rate of the monitor then it will turn off the Nvidia's IR emitter. After doing that FPS simply jumps as I was expecting. I could not get why I need to 3d disabled to make SLI working. Especially in the situation SLI configuration has been optimized for 3D performance option,. What I can assume that it is the setting which I have done wrongly which I have set to default.

Well I do agree that 3D would cap FPS but you have to take care of thing that is split renders should be in sync.
