I am using the same power supply unit (Corsair AX 1200 Gold) with the both of my 580, i have not got any problem with it, so i would suggest that it is better and also perfect for you.

I would also say that you go with it, where the vendor says as they wanted to sell more items. I wanted to tell that the NVIDIA has certified the Corsair AX 1200, but not for two GTX 580s but also for three, that also in SLI. If you wanted more information then you can go to following link and get the information which you wich to have it. I have heard that Corsair makes some of best power supplies for systems, also it has both an extremely great warranty and good customer support.

I also agree with the above user, where AX Gold 1200 is one of the best in power supply unit and it gives you 7 years of warranty, which you will not able to see any other power supply unit.

I am using GTX 590 and also overclocked 980X with some spare overhead, about which i would not have to worry about it. I would suggest that you install the card and you will be not facing any problem with PSU and it shame that vendor has told that it is not good power supply unit. No one should believe that, I would say that Nvidia has given the certification to it so there might be no question about it.
