Should i get another EVGA GeForce 550 ti or higher one?

Hello friends, I am already having the EVGA GeForce 550 ti with 2 GB, i was thinking to get another 550 ti card for me so that i will be able to run SLI or should i go fro some higher version card like 570 or 580. What you people have to say about it, please suggest me. Thank you.

I would suggest that you go for the 570, it will be better for you, even the 580 will be best, if you are ready to pay extra 120$ then you should go for 580 best and proper for you.

I am using two GTX 550 which is equal to single GTX 560 if you see the total number of CUDA corres, also with both options are 384, only having difference is that shader frequencies. So you will be able to get rough idea with minimum choices. So you to balance the potential performance ratio whatever price you are paying. I was using the 9800GT earlier, then move to GTX 260 past 4 year, i was having the potential performance 80%, was getting better improvement rather going for another 9800GT. If you are thinking about the potential performance then i was saying the multiply the total number of CUDA cores with the frequency card are running it, you will never get the actual performance which is mostly based for other components and game. You might be looking the price and performance of the card, so according to price, medium price card are best, and in performance wise then higher card are best.

I was also thinking that, it will be great the to get SLI oncard. where the performance of the card will be something same of 570 and it will be not taking much power to run it.

I was also planning to do the same thing which you are trying right now. I have gone from two 260 in sli to a single gtx 560 ti SC. So after some time i was also thinking to get the another gtx 560, as i was actually wanted to have sli, i was able to run at 1920x1080 resolution and it was very much waste for me and for my resolution. So then i decided to go with gtx 580 1.5 gb and i am very much happy to use it. Now i am not missing any of sli setup. Where the evga knows what the user really wanted to have and it provide with that.

I would suggest that you get gtx 570, if you are thinking about overcloacking then 1920x1080 resolution with more vram and cuda cores which will be best for better performance of the system.
