Why DxDiag showing wrong graphic card on Windows 7?

Well I am running my computer with windows 7. I was checking DxDiag to get the system configuration and came to know that it is intel HD graphics family rather than that of Nvidia GeForce GT540m. any help to get the root cause of the issue and solution to fix the matter will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

Looking at the situation I am suggesting following solution which you can fix the matter of yours.
You have to go for Control Panel and go for performance information and see whether you are able to refresh the info. So try the same and let me know if whether it was useful to you.

After going through the issue I wondering that issue is seems to happening because of the graphic card drivers. So I think you will be resolve the issue by using following steps.

• You should uninstall the graphic card drivers and reboot the computer.
• After that install the latest version of the graphics driver and reboot again.

I don’t know whether it will work for you or not but you should update the system with latest version of DirectX. If still the issue did not seems to working than you should reinstall Windows 7.

If the issue did not seems to solved after installing the drivers and drivers than I am sure that entire issue is concerned with the hardware especially with the graphic card. Hence you should install CPU-Z on your computer and tell me what results do you getting. Finally you should contact the technical support team and ask about help from them.
