Apple Does not allow icloud/iTunes to match on apple tv1

Hello friends I am very keen to find information about technology. These days I am searching about apple products and their features. I came to know from somewhere that Apple does not allow icloud or iTunes to match on atv1? I don’t know the reason. Can anyone give me relevant information about this topic??? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Apple TV 1 runs on a different operating system as compared to another device which uses to enable this feature. So it does make difference. The earlier one would have been compatible because it had that OS which supports the feature. Technology keeps updating and evolving day by day. It is normal to see such things.

In 2007, Apple TV 1 was released and ran on a version of OSX 10.4 (Tiger) In 2010 Apple TV 2 was launched and ran on a version of IOS, which is identical as iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. That is why Apple TV 2 has that feature and Apple TV 1 does not have.

The main reason is that Apple is not updating the OS of the Apple TV 1. I have bought PlayStation 3 way before the launching of Apple TV 1. After that PlayStation is constantly updating, now I can play 3D games on it. But Apple TV is still running on OSX 10.4 (Tiger) which makes it worn out and old. That is why it cannot allow icloud or iTunes on Apple TV 1.
