Unable to update firmware of Samsung UE40B8000 led TV

Friends I have Samsung led TV model no UE40B8000. I have one issue with it. I can’t update the firmware of my TV. I tried many ways to update it but all time I was failed. I also tried to from two different USB. But nothing finds any new update. I am getting helpless; please friends help me in find out any solution? This firmware is new series USB Firmware, and I brought this from the Dutch Samsung site.

I don’t have enough knowledge about Dutch version of firmware. But you can try these steps. First you have to format the thumb drive then next you have to open the download but first on thumb drive select destination directory. Then last you have to install into television and repeat it. Give me your feedback of your result whatever you will get.

I think you have to search where is the problem actual. Either Problem is in your Samsung UE40B8000 model or problem is in Samsung firmware updates. You can to try to update older version of this model, then you will get your solution. As per my knowledge problem may be in your model, you have to contact with Samsung engineer. He can give you solution. I hope your problem may get solved.

As per my point of view problem may be in firmware of b7000 and b8000 with xw and they make the difference between the series with Belgium and Dutch site. But ue40b8000xw and ue40b8000xp are different firmware. I will search on this after that I will definitely tell you the solution.

I had same problem with Samsung UE40B8000 led TV, please can anyone tell me how to do updates of this firmware. I can’t understand what to do? Please give me solution, I really get frustrated, any idea?

I will give you solution please try this, first you have to download firmware update into your USB. This will be .zip file you have to unzip it in particular folder which contains your update. After that once that file get unzip then you can connect it into your USB to your led TV. Then updates will run automatically. I think you don’t get problem in getting updates, if you have any query related to updates then you can ask me, I will reply you with proper solution.

I have the same issue.
I have tried the following:

1) Downloaded the fw at my hard drive, and installed it to a thumb drive.
2) Installed the fw from within the thumb drive
3) Copied every signle file in the root of the thumb drive too.

But still it won't update.
The update cant be found.

It has to be a faulty release.

Have a look on this guide. I just found in sometime. It shows a clear steps to update the firmware plus one note in the end which says that usb must be formatted to FAT basically for firmware updates. I do not understand the reason but it looks that it will help.
