Can we use 2 different 32bit shader to work as 64bit shader

Hi, i have two ATI 4670s graphics card which is set to be used as crossfire and the scenario is like only 1 is connected to a monitor, and I would like to continue using them as double precision on newer OpenCL GPU clients, for proteing Folding, like GPU3 from Folding Home. But i am not sure about this so do you specialist guys believe is feasible somehow I can get double precision? Any suggestion regarding the same will be appreciated.

I am not getting you exactly, are you saying like you are having two single-precision (32-bit) stream processors or shaders, am I right? See it would be better if you simply make yourself clear and then mentioned it over here once again.

Yup, exactly you are right as I have 2x320 single-precision 32-bit stream processors or shaders whatever it is supposed to be said. so what I ask if there is a way to utilize 2 single stream processors to make them work as a double-precision one?

I don’t know whether this is possible or not but still i think you must be unaware as some of the mainly extensively used processors for high-performance computing nowadays demonstrate a great deal of higher performance for 32-bit floating point that’s single precision and which is considered to be higher than for 64-bit floating point that’s double precision. Thus whatever you’re having right now is perfect according to me.

Though i am agree with the above user but still There is no trouble-free method to make a single precision hardware compute a double precision numbers.
