FPS is getting drop on Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 after playing video games

As the title of this particular saying what I wanted to ask over here. I have used to play lots of video games on the computer. When I am trying to play the game on the computer the screen of the computer is supposed to freeze for the couple of second. At that moment of time I am getting FPS of 10-15. I need to reboot the system to make the entire thing normal again. Well I am not able to find out why the above mentioned issue is happening?

Looking at the situation you will need to answer following questions
Which operating system do you running?
    What is the hardware configuration?
Do you have done any changes on the computer?

I think you will need to disable the Vsync on the computer of yours.
    • You have to launch the Nvidia Control Panel.
    • Now you have to go for 3D settings
    • After that you have to click on the Manage 3D settings

Now you have to go for the Force Vsync off and see whether it is working or not.

According to me there is need of turning off the hardware acceleration.

    1. You have to go for Control Panel and after that you have to go for Appearance and Personalization.
    2. Now you have to go for Adjust Screen Resolution and click Display Setting and after that go for Advanced Settings.
    3. After that go for Monitor Properties and click on the Troubleshoot.
    4. Now you have to click on the Change Settings and click on the continue button.
    5. You have to move the Hardware Acceleration slider to the third notch and Click on Ok.
    6. Once you have done you have to reboot the Windows.

Well I am highly suspecting that there is an issue with the drivers itself and hence you will need to reinstall the drivers. You will require to use Driver Sweeper. One you have uninstalled the drivers you will need to download the drivers from the official site and install the same on the computer.
