Asus gtx260 upgrade suggestion

Friends, I am thinking to upgrade the GPU that I am using. Nvidia is having a very good comparison app but as I am having the Asus GPU so I am unsure that which is the upgrade for me in fact. I do require any lowering of the GPU upgrade as compared to what I am using right now. I just need to upgrade each required part of the existing GPU. Please help me with this. Below is the specification that will help you give best suggestion to me.

Current GPU :

• Asus Geforce GTX260 -
• CUDA cores: 216
• Graphics Clock: 576 Mhz
• Processor Clock: 1242 Mhz
• Memory Clock: 1015 Mhz (2030 Mhz data rate) / 896MB GDDR3
• Memory Interface 448 bit
• Bus: PCI Express 2.0 x16 Gen2

Computer Specs:

• Processor: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67Ghz, 2688Mhz, 4 cores, 8 logical.
• OS: Vista Home Premium 64 bit
• Physical Ram: 9.00GB GDDR3
• PSU: 550 Watts
• Mother Board: Asus Rampage Gene2
• x64 based PC

Other than this, also tell me that if I will require to overclock my processor. I heard that mine will overclock very easily but I will not do that until I am required to do that.

After looking at the specification, I can say that you are having a very good configuration. If you have decided to upgrade your system then you must upgrade the power supply to 700W. To this, the best that you can do is to make use of the GeForce GTX 590. This will be the best option that I can suggest you. Lets wait and see if there is some more advanced replies for this.

I dont think that you will require to do the overclock your computer. With the help of the current PSU that you are using, you will be able to select the GeForce GTX 570.

Thank you for the reply. I have checked all the four that you have suggested and I think that AMD Radeon HD 6450 will be better for me. I have also consulted this with some of my other friends who are technically better than me and they also recommended me the same and so I am going to get this one.
