Which option is better MSI R6950 or crossfiring Twin AMD 6850s?

I am willing to get a good graphic cards and after checking a lot of them i have found MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III factory OC and crossfiring two 6850s both to be the best for me but i am confused to choose one from these. As i have never came across both of them i don't know which would be the best.Any suggestion for this will be appreciated.

As far as i know the both option are good for a better and a long run but i find crossfiring two 6850s to be better but i have found that it is more suited for single-card setups and not for second pci-e slot where as here the the MSI 6950 does a good job and i have also heard that for Newegg the MSI R6950 is costlier than getting two 6850.So i will suggest you to go for crossfiring 2 6850.

No using the second or the x4 pci-e slot with two 6850 will give a better performance and it will not result in any problem but when you want to play the games with a single 6850 it maxes most games where as a dual card setup is just a beast beast for gaming. If its about the budget then even i will suggest you to go two 6850 but if you can spend more than getting the MSI R6950 and later a xfire later will be a better option.I am currently using two 6850's and it works well but i still find MSI R6950 a bit better.

What i have experienced by now is that crossfiring 2 6850s on a 16/4x lane slots decrease the performance up to 5-10 percent but that's not too much to worry about as normally you will get 50 fps with 16x/16x lanes where as you will get 47.5 fps on your board with 16x/4x lanes.I have found is that two 6850's will outmax the hd 6950 but then you will have to outmax your system as well but getting a single hd 6950 also provide you the ability to crossfire it later with the hd 6950.Hope that helps.

I will like to share that i had recently bought two 6850s for crossfiring and i just got them for $100 each as well as copies of Deus Ex: Human Revolution completely free.If you find it the right deal then i will suggest you to go for two 6850s and they use a single 6 pin connector so you will not have to get molex adapter in order to turn a couple 4 pins connectors into 6 pin connectors.I am even finding it a bit better than the HD 5970 dual GPU card.Just check them out and you wont regret.

The option of configuring is found to be good now a days so if you are getting the two 6850s at such a good price point then I even i will suggest you the same but you have to also keep this in mind that upgrading in the near feature will ditch both of them where as if you go for a single HD6970 might be able to play all of the games with decent settings and in case if you want to upgrade it then you can just get one more.I will also like to share that the usage of power between both of them is same so you don't have to be concern about the power usage.

My views are a bit different i think that having a Single card is a better option and that is the actual way as well But if you already have liked the option if crossfiring two 6850 than you can very well go with it.I have already tried 5850 and 6950 crossfire and have not faced any kind of problem yet but it does not play WoW well. The process of Multi card has been started with the with modern games but on the other hand i have Neva faced any kind of problem with the single cards as well.

Yest that's really a good point if you are not going to upgrade for a coup[le of years on the video cards then even i will like to suggest you the method of crossfiring two 6850s and i am saying this because i have found a no of people suggesting to one 6970 and then leaving the option to your choice but what i find is that the best thing for your pocket will be crossfiring two 68xx's but only if you are sure that you wont find a needed to upgrade your video card at least for two years because then only the two 6850 will be worth buying.
