I need help setting up dual monitors

I have an ATI Radeon x 300/500/1050. It has an S-video out in addition to the monitor cord. I'm trying to use a TV as a second monitor and when I connect it via the S-video I get nothing. In the windows display setting it doesn't detect it and it only lists VGA and Component as outputs for the video card, no S-video. Any Ideas?

All It took was a driver update.

So after which version of ati driver update the problem got resolved? Can you also give us some tips where it could be helpful for people who might be facing similar problems connecting video cards to dual monitors. It would be very helpful and appreciated as well.
