How to lower the fan speed in 560Ti GTX

I am having a 560Ti GTX graphics card in my system. It is working very well with no issue. I have seen that the lowest fan speed for this card is 1800 rpm and I am trying to lower it down but I am not able to do so. Is it that the speed is locked? Also is it possible to unlock this? Also is there any other way that I can unlock this fan speed?

I don’t want to do this for my graphic card. I don’t need to get a chance to mess up with my graphic card. And setting it up manually is little unclear to configure, so I am worried to do this. I suppose you need to contact the Geforce GTX support team. They may help you in a better way to get your fan speed to lower down.

You can try to get an application called the evga precision tuner or the MSI afterburner so that you can control the things that you want by manually. If you are not having the eVGA card, then I don’t think that it would be a better of luck for you. There is a release by the eVGA called the “fan unlocker” and the BIOSes for the 5xx-series. So I think if you don’t have the eVGA card then you must search for other application.

If you are having the Galaxy GTX 560 Ti Galaxy graphics card, then there is a program offered by them called the XtremeTuner HD. But the XtremeTuner HD version is not supported by the GTX 560 Ti GPU. For this we need the version which is the 3009 version but the website only contains the 3008 version. So I think you can get the latest version CD from anywhere you can and get it installed.

I don’t know for the 560’s series, but for the 570’s and 580’s series they are having a modded bios for them. This will enable you change the restrictions of the fan which is from the 40%-85% to the 30%-100%. It would be great if the eVGA brings the same modded bios even for the 560’s series also.

I don’t hope so that there is an official update available for the 560’s series BIOS. It is only for the 570’s and the 580’s series in which you can increase the speed of the fan as per you want. You can do one thing and that is, you can call the eVGA support and tell them to send a BIOS update file for your 560’s series. So this would really help you to get the BIOS update for your 560’s series.
