Are dual AMD 6950 overkill for gaming at 1920x1080 on a 23" monitor

Hello guys I am a pro gamer and I want to ask one question regarding to AMD 6950. Is dual 6950 overkill in support of gaming by 1920x1080 resting on a 23" monitor? I try to find about this on internet search I go through many websites but not able to find any appropriate solution on this. If it’s not good enough then can I go with 6970/gtx 570? Please suggest me the appropriate card for my system. I am waiting for your replies. I hope that someone will help me thank you.

Hello according to my experience, for the majority games currently on top of the market, a solitary 6950 will be more than sufficient. Metro 2033 was the simply game I have played through my 6950 where I have required presently a little more performance within certain situations. So I don’t think so it will generate any overkill or something similar like that. I hope now you are clear with your doubt. If you still have any queries go through the review of this. Thank you.

Hello I think, nothing is increasingly "OverKill" it totally depends on your settings you would like to play at. If you wish for to play Crysis on 8xAA 16xAF and extremely High settings you might incredibly well require dual 6950. I was facing same question but I did the following things with my system.
    1: you have to Get a 6950
2: and after that Unlock thought 6950 to 1536 Shaders after that OC toward 880/1375.
3: then Play games by settings you wish for.
4: If FPS is beneath 30 or on 30 you possibly will desire to consider an additional since you’re eager to obtain 2.
If you acquire 2 at that moment simply repeat first 3 steps. The 6970 at its present price is not significance it at what time you are able to still contain a 6950 Unlocked/OC in favor of 50-100$ less. Also similar through 570 at that point.

I do not believe there is something out there game wise that will test performance of 6950. I'd say if you are doing video editing or 3DCAD yes, but for games that are just overspending. With an extra 6950, that is basically an e-peen bigger and bragging right. Not even close to an exaggeration. Turn on AA and a single card, or even have the opportunity for many new games. I hope now you are clear with your confusion about this AMD 6950.

I changed my evga GTX570 SC (very good card) for a 2GB HD6950 because I found the Nvidia card runs out of memory in my HP 2560x1600 resolution, and I have the intention of adding a second card later, he that would have made the situation worse. At lower resolutions, however, as 1920x1200, the Nvidia card was untouchable. However, now that I have individual AMD card in the highest resolution, I have to say is certainly more than enough for now. My planning for Crossfire pushes the end of summer with an update on Sandy Bridge, and I feel I'll be fine for a though. You would do very well with one of these cards.

Go within the ATI section with several sources, together with DigiTimes entitled 'Radeon 7xxx regarding to "production" or somewhat similar to that. There are few sources for the same rumor as well. I personally would go for 2x6850 and get the 2GB version. 1 GB of memory could be a limitation with some games in the future when attempting to apply AA. Some of the players on this forum that are pushing triple monitors claim that in games Arma 2 trying to concern 4xAA can go beyond the 2GB frame buffer and they require those '3GB GTX 580' cards. If you play games approximating GTA IV in support of PC and endeavor turning the detail settings, in excess of 1 GB is unfortunately very simple to perform.

There is no such thing as excessively a lot power, the simply genuine factor is how much money to pay out. A pair of 6,950 flashed to 6,970 that will supply you well in favor of a long time. In general you will perform better than going with one card of either 570 or 6970 variety, and will probably last longer when migrating to a more powerful allowing Xfire stretch your legs more. Besides people talking about the 7000 series, I really do not think you're going to see soon and most likely later.
