There might be several reasons why you are experiencing sound problems:
- Perform the sound test by playing a built-in melody sound through the TV. Before performing the sound test, make sure Speaker Select is set to TV speaker in the Sound menu. The melody will be heard during the test even if Speaker Select is set to External Speaker or the sound is muted.
- If you can hear the sound during the sound test but you are receiving abnormal or no sound when using an external device connected to your TV, check the connectors.
- Over-modulated audio settings may cause a sound problem. If the sound is distorted, buzzing or squeaky when playing audio files, adjust the Equalizer and SRS TruSurround HD in the Sound menu.
- If none of the above helps, try restoring the current sound settings to the factory defaults by going to Sound Reset.
