After reading many article and visiting many of the forum site I come to know that in the MSI 6950 you are not able to flash this to 6970, probably because its non-reference. And regarding the same a reference card typically will not have any troubles. But maybe the newer pcb's have physically disabled shade blocks. So this is what I know about the same if you have any other query so please you can ask it freely over here.

It is better to just unlock the shaders and I think it will be easier rather than flash the total 6970 BIOS as the memory of 6970 is superior clocked along with more voltage than the 6950. And I think here that there have been some stability issues along with flashing the whole BIOS. There is a utility on techpowerup about which I am sure that it will unlock shaders from your BIOS. If you want then you can make use of the same.

After reading this I come to know that I was right. Actually I was also thinking the same thing. So at the present I have to just stuck to the overclocking only and may be I will try to unlock the locked shaders. But here I want one more information actually I want to know that how risky it is? If you guys have any idea about the same so please let me know as soon as you guys can.

After searching a lot about the same I got this solution and I am sure this will help you in order to get rid from this matter. Actually if you have reference card so you will be able to unlock the shaders. You will be able to get the same information on to many of the forum site. And if you unlock the shaders and after that if you clock the card to 6970 so you will be able to get nice speed. And regarding the same I think that for you, a simple overclock. So just try this.

Checkout Asus 2GB 6950 benchmark, is just trying too good to pass up when the price is good (240 €) Of course not work as cold and quiet as DirectCue II, but it takes only two slots and is slightly short, which is important because my case is narrow Antec 300. And, of course, keep thumbs up to the success of a 6970 flash! That is what is dual-bios Thanks for the help guys
