4850 is better than GTX 460 in BFBC2

Hi, I buy a GTX 460 with 1GB today and played some Battle Field Bad Company 2, excited to see a great improvement in the rates of my frame per second. But that did not happen With my 4850, I averaged about 40-50 fps at 1440x900 on high resolution. With my GTX 460, my frame rate rarely went above 40. Interestingly, my frame rate does not seem to change the settings: 1024x768 occurs in low frame rates similar to 1440x900 with everything at maximum. In addition, the game is much more hectic with my GTX 460, even when the frame rates are comparable. Another thing I noticed is that every time you load a map, the GTX 460 is moving at a snail's pace - about 3-5 FPS - for ten seconds or less. The 4850 GTX 460 temperature never exit higher than 60C, and I've tried for half an hour in Furmark, what happened. Also, Crysis runs greatly recovered on my GTX 460 (frame rate 50%), so I know that the card cannot be completely broken. I’d appreciate any help. I am using intel cor2 duo processor with windows 7 ultimate 64.

Hello I am facing similar type of problem. I am using Intel cor2 duo with windows 7 ultimate 64. where my previous gtx 280 was smoother than the 460. Extended story little, incredible exclusive to the GTX 460 causes massive spikes in DPC latency LGA 775 platform. The matter is not as much of marked in the reports, P45 and X48 boards but overall makes the 460 is not an alternative for 775. There is one more nvidia card has these troubles, so a 450, 465 or 470 would be fine. Thank you.

According to me it is a memory problem. I am familiar with that Star Craft 2 does the similar through 2 gigs of RAM installed. The problem goes away for the general operation of As for BC2. 775 are not helping, and your processor is probably holding you back in that game. Fermi has problems with the use of the GPU and is more likely to get less than 60%, and only have a dual core performance is suffering. A Fermi owner gives high-quality outcome with the 265.90 Quadro release, but have problems with 460 for most. In fact, I get a presentation increase by enabling HBAO; it causes an increase nice use of the GPU. Review the use of the GPU in every game. Dead Rising 2 I have about 60%, but simply following changing the name of the exe. Dirt2 a, which was regarding 25 before that. Star craft 2 gets me somewhere from 20-60%, Hot Pursuit about 25%. They all run very well, but expects the new nvidia drivers in a week is supposed to fix the use of the GPU all the cards Fermi.

It is not worse to upgrade, but a 4850 gtx 460 only 1440x900 is a bit silly. With its dual-core CPU, you will not get any better presentation in CPU concentrated games about what their 4850 and could be given. What is worth BC2 run like crap when I used a gtx470 on my system? DX11 was never easy and I had to force DX10 just to get a similar performance was with my GTX260. It looks to a number of public; the Fermi cards have problems with this game.

I have a total conversion mod called MWLL Crysis is more demanding than Crysis itself and run in all settings very high at 1440x900 and is as easy as you want it. I do not sit and watch images per second, I turned once in the game to see what they showed and I thought that hovers around the 50 over all, then turn it off, I'll just look again if there is a BFBC2 problem plays all out maximum settings, 16xAA, 16xAF, smooth as can be, keep in mind that I am doing this with a Phenom 955 Quad@3.2Ghz II (material other than clock 2400MHz NB) and 4 GB DDR3 Memory @ 1600Mhzperhaps the rest of the hitch system is doing things.

My CPU cannot be totally responsible for my poor performance in 4850 BFBC2 because my 4850 work much better than my GTX 460. I also run BFBC2 on a variety of settings (DX9, DX 10 and DX11; HBAO inside and outside, inside and outside of AA) and the operation is basically the same hatred. I also forgot to mention that even though my frame rates in Crysis are high, the game stutters quite frequently. Anyway, I will try my GTX 460 in XP just in case. From now on, the clarification of R-Type sound more convincing. Thank you.
