From Dell 2407WFP to HP ZR24W

Hello friend I have currently Dell 2407WFP monitor about 20 months and it got issue of TN panels a few days ago, I tried to get repaired TN panels it’s not possible. I have not sure about the Dell if it good I do not want spends more to get repaired. So my problem I have intended to go from the dell 2407WFP to HP ZR24W. So is it better choice. It will be good. Is it having good picture quality? Is the IPS of HP ZR24W is good than what the dell 2407 panel was? I was happy with my Dell 2407WEP so I want ask that going to this HP ZR24W is even nice? Thanks in advance for giving feedback.

There is not major difference in quality but it can be considered. I want to you to know that HP ZR24W uses an IPS panel this is mainly a numbed down eIPS panel. This provide some or slightly good quality of viewing angles then Dell 2407WFP that uses VA -AMVA/S-PVA But still this does not provide the viewing angles. Color reproduction is same in Dell and HP both if not with a little edge on part of the HP .Image quality is very good in the Dell ZR24W. I have found that both Dell 2407WFP and HP ZR24W have better viewing angles, clear.

I want tell you that the HP ZR24W is not good out of most of the monitor. I do not really want to spend any more money on any of software called calibration, I have gone through the main HP ZR24W thread and found a most of the good posts on about its settings and I hope that where it going to place setting if I want to have a good looking picture having better edge quality.I am not intersected in most good color and perfect contrast. But I am concern with the IPS panel and I am come from dell 240WFP and now go to cheap TN panel is hell. I have also go through the Samsung and Asus but it more horrible.

Hello friend, I just tried to get very closer to what the Dell 2407WFP was all about. If it is not better in the 450 dollar and it is seem similar to the HP ZR24W and it is really single one monitor that fits in categories and it is in affordable that price range I found it cheap something around370 dollar. I will not go for the 450. You can buy it from ebay have have policy you will get some discount they also provide replacement if you get the bad pixel or anything wrong. So I want to thank them for such support.

Thank you, friend giving your suggestion about this. I have not so clear idea about the Dell 2407WFP and HP ZR24W. You people make me to all about this. Finally I have reached to position where I can take decision about the choice. I come to know about the price difference in both the monitor. Picture quality, about the edge. So I would like to thanks all the people who shared this forum and for giving their precious time.
