Dell U2410 vs HP ZR24W

Has anybody tested a IPS monitor, if you have please do send your suggestions. I am game freak and have loads of collection of FPS games. I particularly like playing sports games on my computer. I am planning to configure a system and am almost done with the configuration but I am confused regarding a monitor which I specially desire for gaming purposes. So if you can just give me your opinions would be helpful.

I would suggest you to go for the Dell U2410 as I have personally tested it and found very interesting. Some of its features that I really appreciate are as follows :

I have the HP ZR24w and am just loving the way it works. One of the benefits of the ZR24w are the various settings that range from a height adjustment of rotation and tilt to the pivot function which proves to be very helpful. HP ZR24w has a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is distributed over an area of the 16:9 view. The pace at which these are repeated measures 0.27 mm. When lamps are mounted behind the panel they operate at maximum intensity, maximum light seen is 400 candelas per square meter.

I am happy with the 24-inch model of Dell UltraSharp U2410 which includes extensive features and offers good presentation especially in case of videos and films. The screen is certainly not a bargain, but offers solid overall price and performance ratio. You can find on the back of the monitor next to the analog VGA interface, two HDCP-enabled DVI ports, before an HDMI and a DisplayPort connector. It even includes other analog interfaces to the component and composite connectors so that the complete whole range can be connected i.e you can connect both digital and analog playback devices with the U2410.

The HP ZR24w is truly astonishing as it provides a static contrast ratio of about 1000:1. With the dynamic control of brightness, a ratio of 3000:1 contrast is appreciable. The response time is not suitable for gamers. So if you are aiming a monitor for gaming then this is not a good option. It can provide excellent angles of vision both horizontally and vertically extending them up to a measure of 178 degrees. The width of the video bandwidth is 200 MHz.
