How is performance of GeForce GTX 460?

Actually, I was searching for some information on Google about the GeForce GTX 460, and I saw that one thread was made over here which was having an information of Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti. So I thought that you members must be knowing about GeForce GTX 460 too. Please provide some notes that should be having information about performance of GeForce GTX 460. Waiting for the replies, so try to post here fast as possible.

Re: How is performance of GeForce GTX 460?

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 is currently appealing graphics card. However, it is not easy to choose the right model. There are not only numerous partner cards, but also different memory configurations. Since the synthetic benchmark has in the test track (ie the 3DMark Vantage) had no game engine, and thus reflects a realistic statements about the speed in 3D titles, we have removed this application from the rating.

Re: How is performance of GeForce GTX 460?

The benchmarks were with the current graphics card test system based on an Intel Core i7 965 determined. Because Palit GeForce GTX 460 and GeForce GTX Sonic 460 GS overclock the same, both 3D accelerators work in measurement inaccuracy identical fast. Thus, the products on average at 1920x1200 drop by two percent from the reference design, which can be explained by the marginally higher clock speeds. With 2,048 MB of double the GDDR5 memory brings to our games selection and quality settings in any headings to improve - not measurable, nor felt.

Re: How is performance of GeForce GTX 460?

On Windows, the Palit GeForce GTX 460 is Sonic to differ with 41.5 decibels silent and so not of the remaining components. The Gainward GeForce GTX 460 GS is 43.5 decibels measurably louder, but the difference is only on closer listening. Under load, then turn the results around. Because of the more powerful cooling system, it the Gainward card is not necessary to turn the fan high, and comes to a comfortable 49.5 decibels. The Palit construct is at 54 decibels noisier and clearly perceptible. At the temperatures are not pay the volunteers on Windows. Under load the Gainward card is slightly cooler. On the chip back, we measure with 77 and 78 degrees again (almost) identical results.

Re: How is performance of GeForce GTX 460?

On the power consumption under Windows, the 2GB memory obviously has no influence, as the Gainward GeForce GTX 460 GS on a reading of 166 watts and the Palit card to a come of 167 watts (meaning the entire PC), which closely tuned to the values of the reference design with 1,024 MB (164 watts). Different from the situation under load, where the Gainward card needs 332 watts 22 watts more than a standard card and the XFX product of 350 watts even 40 watts more. In the case of twice the memory but then seems to play a not so small role. Both test subjects can be very good overclock. The Palit GeForce GTX 460 GTX Sonic (standard voltage: 0.987 volts) allows for a frequency of the TMU-domain of 800 MHz, the shader units of 1.600 MHz and the memory of 2,000 MHz. The Gainward GeForce GTX 460 GS (standard voltage: 1.0 volts) with 825 MHz, 1.650 MHz or 2.150 MHz clock a little more adventurous. Thus, depending on the application a performance boost 10:00 to 14:00 percent (Palit) and from 18 to 20 percent (Gainward) possible. When overclocking, the Palit card one decibel louder and draws tens of watts more from the socket. The Gainward accelerator is two decibels louder at all and needs nine watts more power. The temperatures remain the same in both cases.
