Radeon HD 5770 with Vapor-X Sapphire

I want to know about the output of Radeon HD 5770 with Vapor-X Sapphire. I am sure that some of members over there must be knowing about its result. Its more than a year it has been launched and hence, the outputs must be known to you. Is that was the good idea to bring together Radeon HD 5770 with Vapor-X Sapphire? I am not sure about this thing, so need to know from some professionals, so I am here.!! Please provide some information as soon as possible.

As each new card launch, we are seeing in the first instance of the original AMD card, then once more mastered manufacturing, brands loosen up a bit. Thus, the first HD5770 modified by the partners of AMD finally landed on the market, many brands offer a revised version of the map, with a new cooling and higher frequencies. The first came to this review is none other than the Sapphire HD5770 range "Vapor-X". To stand out, this model has a new cooling and overclocking a little house. Does the model really differs from the original AMD card? We'll see if the extra 15 Euros compared to the version of bass are justified. To recap, the HD5770 is part of the new range of manufacturer Cypress AMD which was launched in October 2009. Located just below the HD5850, the HD5770 has the same technologies, but with inferior specifications. Loss in performance compared to the HD5850 is felt, as lower prices to 125 Euros, which puts the card in the early to mid-range. While achieving good performance in the latest fashionable games, such as the excellent racing game Dirt2 provided, not to push the resolution too.

Re: Radeon HD 5770 with Vapor-X Sapphire

Since that day, the HD5770 model has undergone two changes in the versions under the designation V1 and V2. The change occurs only on cooling, the V1 has a cooler in the same principle as the HD5800, namely a plastic shroud around the radiator, so that hot air is exhausted directly outside the box. While on the V2, cooling is very different since it takes a smaller form and certainly more classical, but it rejects the hot air inside the enclosure. In all cases, the firm AMD said that V2 is more effective than the former. A few months after the announcement and availability of commercially HD5770, Sapphire is the largest partner of AMD graphics cards, which assumes its own version. On sale since late December, the Vapor X is one of the first alternatives to the original AMD HD5770, pending other brands are quickly put on the market with their solution.

With Vapor-X 5770, Sapphire uses the same concept, but by improving the whole, to take advantage of the cooling performance. The card features a black PCB strictly identical in all respects with the original, the cooler still occupies two slots, allowing it to be always compatible with Crossfire systems. This model radiator is provided on all models Vapor X Sapphire, its particularity is to use the system of the steam chamber (VCT). This cooling technology is very similar to the system Heatpipe, since the result is almost the same action. When the liquid is in contact with a hot surface, it evaporates, then condenses the vapor in a room cooler (upper), back in liquid form to its original location ie the contact surface . This cycle is repeated so many times, to remove heat more quickly to another location.

The steam chamber occupies the entire base of the radiator, which allows transfer of heat to all parts of the fins, thus more uniform. Better heat dissipation, so the manufacturer can use a fan Sapphire slower to evacuate the hot air. A fan that is always of type PWM directly self-regulated depending on the temperature map, we see that it is very effective. Above this cooling system is arranged a block of circular fins, fins are thick and heavily spaced. Note the presence of a 80mm fan in black, the shape of the blades is also very special because they are very curved and the number 9. This cooling is partially masked by a black plastic shell, a form more than a nice fairing, without being extravagant as it does on models of the manufacturer Asus Formula. As for the original AMD card, cooling takes up two slots, of course, the card is still compatible with AMD's CrossFire technology. On the design of the card, Sapphire has absolutely nothing changed, the card is like any other reference AMD. The power of the card is always taken 6Pin via a PCI-Express, when the video outputs, we are entitled to HDMI, two DVI, and finally to a Mini Display Port.

I am sure that if you want to play some games on it, then you are going to love this card. Gamers will be pleased to know that a coupon DIRT 2 is in the bundle, it will download it via the STEAM platform. There's also a Molex to PCI-Express 6Pin, a VGA / DVI, Crossfire bridge, and two CD (Driver / Software). The cooling of the Vapor-X HD5770 is it really effective? The gain offered by this new cooling system is approximately 4 degrees idle, and 6 in full. If the gain is not really impressive, we must make clear that the card is very quiet! In IDLE, the graphics card is almost inaudible in the middle of the configuration involved, it is very discreet. Once in charge in OCCT, there is an increase of 5.4 dB (A) noise, if we hear very little, this is very good for our ears. A few near Watts consumption is almost the same at idle, under a heavy load there is 16Watts a small decrease despite the addition of 10MHz on the GPU. It remains in all cases quite close, slightly lower for the Sapphire. (Total consumption of the test machine).

Re: Radeon HD 5770 with Vapor-X Sapphire

If you are asking that whether Vapor X HD5770 it is a good alternative? The answer is yes, it corresponds to the expectations that a user can have such a card. Namely, provide more efficient cooling, while being less noisy, which is very pleasant. Inaudible in a box, as well as at rest during a high load in a game, it knows to be quiet. The system of the steam chamber proves very effective in transferring heat to the fins. Overclocking house is not a valid argument for this model, in fact, with the very small increase in the frequency 10MHz CPU, it has no influence on performance. We regret that Sapphire has remained too timid, the manufacturer could offer a beefier overclocking knowing that the margin is large. So alongside performance, this model is exactly the same level than the reference AMD. You can always go through the box overclocking to boost performance a little. Of course, these changes are not without effect on the rate card. Fortunately, Sapphire has not dropped the price too, can find this card for 140 euros on average cons about 125 Euros for the base models. An increase of 15 Euros, explaining the change in the cooling, which is more than reasonable. In addition, in the bundle, you get a coupon for download via the STEAM very good racing game DiRT 2. If you want a silent HD5770 home without touching anything, then you will love this model Vapor X, which ultimately fulfills its mission perfectly.
