    Dell Inspiron 1545 Screen Problem

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 Laptop, almost 1 year old and the screen appears to have failed, I get the Dell logo in the centre of the screem then on the top left of the screen I just get a box with vertical lines. As it was still in warrenty I sent it to dell for repair and they have refused to repair saying it has been dropped which it has most certainly not. Is there anything else which could cause this problem

If there is any physical damage to the product let it be mobile phone or LCD Screen or any other device then the warrant gets void. Also in your case the laptop of yours has been returned then I really do not think that there can be any solution for this. It will be better if you can have your laptop sold with some repair from the local technician. Also in addition to this if you are having the issue with LCD only then you can get it replaced.

    More detail
The model is Inspiron 1545 : Pentium Dual Core T4400(2.2GHz,800MHz,1MB)
Display : 15.6in Widescreen WXGA with TrueLife - WLED
    Memory : 3072MB (1x2048 + 1X1024) 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel
Graphics : Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD
This laptop has not been dropped it never leaves the house and sits permenantly on a table, no signs of damage. I have been told it could be due to overheating, is this possible?
    Cheers
    Martin.

Well when I saw your post I went on Internet to see if there can be any repair for your case there. I found that if the laptop screen has been damaged then it can be because of the overheating issue and if that is really the case there then you can have the same for replacement if it is yet in warranty. In addition to this however it will be great if you can just sell it by getting it repaired from the service center if they do it for you or with the help from the local technician. You can place the sell order on this forum as well. You can go to our Buy Sell Computer Hardware and then can place the amount for the laptop that you would like to sell it for. I am of the opinion that you will get a good price for your laptop there.
