Power Requirements for Popular Graphic Cards

Hello! Everyone. Actually my friends want to buy new pc. He is mad about games, especially 3d games. No doubt there is a requirement of graphic card. There is no issue regarding money problem is power supply. The locality where he stays has problem of low power supply. And I don’t know about power requirements of graphics card. Help to find out one which consumes less power but still able to work nicely.
