Toshiba, a company that is synonymous with strength and quality, we introduced the 3D television, where we do not need glasses. These 3D TVs are 12 and 20 inch borders on price and $ 2.800 $ 1.400 dollars. It's good to see how a big company like Toshiba, cares for one of the major complaints of 3D technology the use of lenses. Some people believe that because they sit too close to the screen or by their price, these 3D TVs from Toshiba, may not be a success. However, this could encourage more companies to compete for large 3D technology without the use of lenses.

To achieve the 3D effect on their TVs, Toshiba uses light aces, which are designed to 9 points off the screen, making fool the human eye. This system is implemented in Toshiba televisions 3D is very similar to what Nintendo is already making its Nintendo 3DS . The technology is still not very sophisticated, so Toshiba will not release this feature in larger TVs. In December, these 3D TVs will go on sale in Japan.

Although a small approach last year, the 3D was still a big trend at CES, with all major manufacturers promoting their latest and greatest shows. But instead of repeating what happened last year, Toshiba showed a prototype of the new 3D glasses technology hoping to launch later this year. Variations shown in 56-inch and 65 inch prototype free glasses allow multiple users to view 3D content from a wide view angles, and the content of the 2D scale to 4K resolution.

3D technology had spent many years trying to find ways to reach the public, however the devices business anger 3D TV has reached only a few months ago, in part because advances in television and video technology did not allow before- and is being developed primarily for gaming but also for sports and movies. Some companies bet to produce television sets that need special glasses to view 3D content (each brand has released their own glasses), but other manufacturers, like Toshiba , consider this business model is unprofitable because it limits the 3D experience the number of glasses you have in every home, they also have to be consistent, and focused on developing a technology that requires them.

Specifically, how does it work? The manufacturer says it has developed a technology that allows it to send images according to nine different viewing angles. Depending on how the viewer is positioned facing the screen, he will receive two of these images, combined with eye-level, create the relief effect. On the surface of the screen, there is a layer of lenses that are responsible to make this separation of the signal along several axes.

Technology here has the advantage of not requiring specialized investments in terms of content production: these TVs will properly render any conventional stereo stream. These famous television, we have briefly seen and it is clear that once the satisfaction of not having to put on glasses, the result is somewhat disappointing. The picture appears fuzzy halo of light and lacks the sharpness and contrast that provide stereoscopic conventional tiles. To optimize these opportunities, we must stand in the middle of the screen at eye level. The impression of relief is there, but the experiment does not prove up to the expectations of a movie buff HD

It is no secret, Toshiba likes the concept of a screen capable of playing 3D content without needing to use special glasses. The firm works hard on the subject and could launch its first laptop capable of this feat before the end of the year according to Phil Osako, the marketing manager of Toshiba's products. According a website which saw a demonstration of Qosmio is an ambitious given that the prototype they saw was still far from perfect in terms of rendering the entire screen.

Beyond this LCD 3D, interesting innovations in 3D rendering are included in this laptop. There is for example a webcam can track the position of your eyes to detect when you change positions. The goal is to adapt the rendering of the screen to minimize the dead zones where 3D rendering is not optimal but also aims to increase viewing angles. Our colleague says he did not really see difference with this technology, but as already stated, this is a prototype and it will be interesting to see if these ideas are embodied in a portable led and ready to be marketed, which should arrive in late 2011. Provided that you find an interest in 3D, which is not necessarily the case for everyone
