You have to discuss with your laptop operating manual and position the exact model number of your Aspire laptop. Go to Aspire’s website. Find the way to the Aspire support page as well as open the "Drivers and Downloads" section. After that Input in the Aspire X1700, choose "Search," and download the newest video driver for your model. because from my opinion this may happens because of driver so try this out…

To update the driver you have to first of all press "Start" as well as after that press "Control Panel." And after that go to the "Device Manager" .and then press on the "Display Adapters" option as well as double-press on your video card from the list onscreen. after that choose the "Drivers" tab, and then press on the "Update Driver" button, as well as choose your Desktop as the position to search. And then press "Next" to update the driver as well as repair your graphical card problem.

Hey you have to check that power supply to the card is proper or not. May this card need additional power from the power supply. If not, you appear to be doing the whole thing properly by enabling the PCI-E as well as disabling the onboard graphics. Did you attempt plugging it into a usual monitor instead of the TV? There might be something else going on?
