Help in choosing video card from Nvidia gtx 480 sli or ati 5870 xfire

I have recently purchased a laptop for doing all my official works. I am now planning to buy a video card for my laptop. I am confused between the two card i.e nvidia gtx 480 sli and the other one is ati 5870 in crossfire. Is there anyone who can tell me which one will be the best for my laptop? Which card performance good as compared to the other one? Try to suggest me you view on this so that i can make the proper decision out of it. Thanks.

I have gone through you post and for your query I will like to tell you that GTX 480 will perform better as compared with the is ati 5870. I am telling this to you because I have used both the card before and I founded that the performance of GTX 480 was far better than the ATI. So if you are planning to purchase a new video card I will suggest you to go with the nvidia gtx 480 sli. Hope have provide you the require help.

As per my advice you I will advise you to go with the ATI 5870, I have advice you this card because of the following reasons- the GTX 480 card consumes more power supply of you machine and if it consumes more power supply then it will affect the performance of you machine. Even it produces more noise as compared to the ATI. Due to this two reason I will advise you to go with the ati 5870 in crossfire card. I think this will help you out in making the proper decision.

Thanks for the instance reply. I have gone through both the posts which are providing above. I founded that both of you have provide me the good support related with my query. After referring your post I have now decide to go for the nvidia gtx 480 as the performance of this card is better as compared with the ati 5870 xfire. I hope that my system will run well after installing this card which I have decided to purchase. Thanks once again for the help.
