graphics card for playing games under windows 7

i need a graphics card to play sims3, uktruck simulator and most simulaton games, at times sbk and nfs games too.

the operating system is windows 7 enterprise vl- genuine

my hardware

intel dual core 2.5 ghz,
motherboard asus p5n73am; nvidia chipset
ram 4 gb(2*2 kingston) hard disk 320 gb western digital caviar blue

i need a strong solution.
please help--- should i go to the nvidia stable
(--- video,networking and the chipset favours them)

i was guided to move for gt 240 or gtx 430

any ati cards( ati hd 4670/4770/4870 ) which are great than these ?.

if i want to play what is the recomended PSU or it is irrelevant !.

please inform about the price

(i hope the cards can't cross 5g/5k--- i mean 5000 rupees at the maximum if really excellent i have to relax, i decide it final)

i expect it to be a 1 gb video card from ati or nvidia--
my motherboard supports only one card;
i prefer a single card no sli or cf at this price tag

i am from tamilnadu;
a system administrator
incharge of computers in an engineering college


please say what brand to get from ati or nvidia;a full report is required,
i need to add the video card;if possible later i will get
the psu from cooler master(x4-600) or thermal take/corsair and close the cabin forget them unless issues arise !.

Go with the HD 4870 graphics card because I am also having the samde card at home and at present till now, I can play the latest games with high settings on without any issues. I think it was the first card launched in ATI range with Gddr5 memory. It comes in 1gb as well as in 512 mb. I own a Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 graphics card that I bought last 2 years ago and still now I am enjoying playing games with this card.
