    DELL SE198WFP monitor related issue

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 which has a DELL SE198WFP monitor. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed that the on the screen there is a small Vertical line. It did not seem to be getting worse but about a week ago when the monitor went "black". I turned the computer and the monitor off and then back on again and the monitor worked again but still had that vertical line .please tell me what I have to do

You first have to check your power supply for that you have to do this,
    • Unplug the monitor from the wall.
    • Unplug the cord from the back of the monitor.
    • Wait one minute
    • Plug the monitor cord back into the Monitor as well as a known-good wall outlet.
    • hit the Monitor power button.
    • If this still does not work, try with known-good power cord. Usually a Desktop power cord is the same as a Monitor power cord.

I think this is video cable related problem. Ensure that the video cable is connected to the correct video source. Look at the back of the computer to check for any installed add-in video cards. Generally, integrated video cards are automatically disabled when an add-in video card is installed. The monitors have to be connected to the add-in video card, if present.

You have to first monitor the input selection. On almost all Dell monitors there is a Quick Access or Input button this button allocates you to adjust your monitor to the selected Inputs such as: VGA, Digital/DVI, Display port as well as various other video input sources that your monitor may have. Hit the Quick Access or Input button to change to the accurate video input source.
