Is HD5870 overpriced

I am supposed to buy a new a new Radeon HD5870 on the next month. But I am little bit confuse about HD5870 price. Because Radeon HD4870 1GB is available for 177 $ and Radeon HD5870 1 Gb for 520$. I cannot make out that why the Asus has define this much price for it. I think this price is very expensive. If anyone having any suggestions on this then please tell me. Any suggestions will appreciate. Thanks in advance.

No, I don’t think that it’s very expensive; if you want to play Direct X 11 games on your machine then you should have HD 5870. And also if you want to play FSX on multiple monitors, then I think your should buy this. I am using the same HD 5870 on my machine and I giving me a good performance. I think you should buy this even if it expensive. I hope this information may help you.

I am absolutely agreed with you, because I think that HD 5870 has not a huge upgrade from the HD4870. And I think you should go with HD4870 because I am experiencing good performance with this and I can surely tell you that you will get the good performance. This is the only HD4870 available with at the good price. If you are having any other query then please reply me.

In my point of view, prices of the product are depending on the upgrades and the popularity of the product. There must be some new upgradations than the oldest one. I advise you to go through its specification and advantage over the other, so that it will help you to make out why it is expensive. for your information, i am having this on my board.

If you really want to use this then go for this because this is having many of the upgrades than previous one. Or if you are thinking that its expensive then you should go with the another one. There are many of others available for you. Make a search for you requirement and see the price as your match. I also do the same thing when i come to any of this kind of questions.
