Upgrading Video card Games

I got video card for my computer system. I want to know whether how often I could upgrade the video card. For that how much I could spend normally? Please provide me the good answer. Also can you please tell me how to select a new video card? i am really new to video card zone. i dont have any idea related to video card.

I regularly upgrade my video card. My current video card is an Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller. I have every one year a video card and spend around 450 to 500 $. I always upgrade my game system 2x during one year. Sometime also around 6 months. I spend little bit more typically as well. I usually try to have the best of any company during each new inventions of video cards.

I don’t have it unless something worst happens with me. I most probably get video card of the higher quality. I use it until it works. I don’t have the new one unless it work properly. I use it until it drop down the system requirements. I use it till three to four years and I spend around $250 to $300. I have not done for a while because of dead cards available with me then upgrading to the computer system.

Previously I use to upgrade every of the latest generation. I had geforce 4200 128mb, 9700 pro to 6850 gt to 7900gt. And finally I had 9000gts with 1 GB. Still using it. I had upgrade mostly in 6 months. And I spend around $300 for it. I make use of both windows mode as well as gaming mode. Right now I don’t use regularly. Still having the craze to have the latest one.
