ATI|ASUS|EAH DK|Radeon HD|4870|1GB GPU white Lines on Screen|monitor

Hey guys.
i just installed ASUS EAH 4870 and when I boot the pc there are white lines all over the screen and after the OS load up then there will be two vertical white line(the two vertical lines comes when the GPU drive is not installed, if installed it will be black screen with No signal message), I know this is not a software problem cuz the lines wouldn’t appear on the bios boot time and last time I used it with this chip PSU that worked only 3 days there was no line then. And now I think the last PSU must have caused some faulty on the GPU.
Is this really a Hardware problem and is there a fix??
Any help is appreciated.

What is the make/model of your monitor because it might be a monitor problem I think. I too had similar kind of problem with my monitor, everytime when I started/booted my computer first time in the morning, I used to get similar lines dancing around all over the screen. But after a specific period of time, it used to disappear. So yours might be a similar case, and therefore you should try out different monitor.

i thought that too but i dont think thats the problem cuz i even tried it with a TV and its the same thing.
i've sent it to ASUS for a RMA i dont know what the will say thu.

Have you tried to reseat the video card again in your pc? Have you updated the driver of your video card to the latest? How old is the monitor, can you check by putting a different video card in your computer and then plugging in to the monitor to find out the problem that can also lie with the monitor itself. Report back with full details.

this is not drivers problem because appear while bios starting, checked another monitor as well. Twice remounted card and still. Possible PSU cause issues.

I also think that it could be something further up the chain - such as your powersupply not feeding enough power to the video card, or even unstable system memory feeding it bad information, and triggering the crashes. I do not believe that BIOS updates will solve this problem but its actually very rare thing that could be done for some fix.

Yes but what is strange it appear only while morning first system boot.
