Geforce GTX 460 PSU too weak?

Tech people I've now ordered a VGA ASUS Extreme NGTX460 DirectCue TOP/2DI/1GD5 but I wonder now if my power supply can withstand the map yet. Currently I have a 8800gt in there. The power supply is on: Extreme Power Duo 600W (2-3 years old).

The part is not a low-power supply. Times has cost € 89. Is Cooler Master. The part arrived (if the rails are not connected, the dedicated GPU single track, remaining on the other) and there is absolutely no reason to buy a new one, unless you want to spend 70 € or so for a few percent higher efficiency. Do you have all the shares of power supply manufacturers, or what is going on here? Capacitor aging is overrated.

The eXtreme Power series from Cooler Master iGreen series is the recently tested in the same house clearly inferior. Important and today actually granted prestigious features such as Active PFC and overcurrent protection circuits lacks the PR-600-PCAP, and also in terms of performance disappointed the eXtreme Power and its name does not do justice: the specified 600W only briefly and only at the expense the voltage stability. When not otherwise available equipment saves the good guide the evaluation. Nevertheless, it is a powerful power supply for use in SLI / Crossfire systems. Whether it finds its buyers will probably be decided, not least on road price. Also, it might be interesting as a replacement power supply for computer owners in the aging: The negative 5V line is this power supply still present in most other parts of the current network is still lacking.

What has got to do with the price and the manufacturer with the performance / durability? The part is roundabound 4 years old!! Today, the 12 volt rail is relevant at that time already? Could well be, but only because so many consumers stuck in the system.Something tough, no one gets here by recommendations / advice fees from manufacturers / producers - Many here quite like to go on the safe side, I also

My concern was that it is not a cheap power supply and no more. 18A on each of the two 12V rails. Why should not the long? The part has built very good capacitors. That would 216Watt maximum for one of the two rails. The processor has grad mal 65W TDP. That is for sure (if it connects properly, if the rails are related not to do when sies it is always easy). Throwing money out the window. FUD, probably the main source of power supply manufacturers.
