    Dell Inspiron 530 Sound card Problem

    I have a brand new “Dell Inspiron 530”. Few days back I tried plug speaker into my Laptop Inspiron 530. I connected the wrong end to my laptop. Then I unplug the end which I plug in with the speaker. I thought I done a wrong thing, that s why I keep it away for 2 days. After that yesterday, when i again tried to connect the speaker with my laptop, it not working. What can I do now?

    Just do these 3 steps. After that your speaker will definitely works.

    1.Uninstalled the sound driver drivers. Before that delete all the existing driver data.
    2.Plugged in another speakers that works good.
    3.Also Updated the BIOS.

    Check your video card setting, because I think somehow it is fired from the motherboard. Sound cards are having wires to connect with board, Which will work for the PCI slots. If you have this problem, then there is only way to fix this problem, by buying a brand new sound card. And reconnect it with your PCI slot

    The sound card connector for ATX standard HD Audio are used to connect the front panel headphone and mic jacks of the laptop with the output device(like speaker/headphone). Check there should a front panel connection which is connected to motherboard directly. Dell is usually use a proprietary for the standard HD Audio connections. Also check the sound settings, though you mention on your post that first time you did the wrong. So, for that the setting are may change
