    No SLI option with GTX460

I have recently purchased two gigabyte GTX460 and installed them ion my system. Now when i open my nvidia control panel there is no SLI option. I have uninstalled all the old driver and installed the fresh copy but it is still not working. I try three version of driver 258.80, 258.56, 258.96. I have tried to two different SLI bridge. But nothing helps. Do you have any other idea i can try to get resolve with this problem. Thank you in advance.

Once even i am getting same error and it get solve by me. As it is a SLI and Crossfire board, I think you need to do something in the BIOS to change to enable SLI support. Now i am getting SLI option in my control panel and my both cards are working fine. Hope this might help you to get rid of this error.

Re: No SLI option with GTX460

I am planning to run my graphic card in SLI mode but there is no option in the control panel. The motherboard book states that I need to go to Nvidia Desktop Manager, then go to properties and but there is no option to activate SLI mode. The picture in the book show three option but the bottom section is not displayed in my system. This tab allow to access SLI setup. Is there any way to get this option enable?

Almost many MB has an enable SLI feature in the BIOS. some graphic processing unit are not supported on all version of NVIDIA driver. The next question arises nvidia driver. You can check nvidia version on nvidia site. And download the latest driver from there site. This type of problem are mostly due to incompatible drivers. So, see to it that driver you are installing is compatible to your windows version.

I think you are confused, Just go to Nvidia control panel and under 3D setting you will see Set SLI configuration. You have not given any information about your hardware, make sure that you are using same version of graphic card. You can not use two different version of card such as 7900gtx with a 7900gt or 8800gts with 8800gtx. There model no must be same.

Re: No SLI option with GTX460

I am using windows 7 64 bit and ASUS motherboard. I am getting the same problem but after driver version 154 I also lost the option. I am having 2 Asus EN7950GX2, both of my cards are detected but no SLI option is control panel. I would suggest you to get the older version of driver from nvidia and try this one it might work out for you.
