GTX 480 and maya 2010/2011

Hi,
i have the new machine,the card which is used is of the GTX 480,the problems are with the smooth mesh preview, as the view port is lagging, the same preview works fine at the computers at school, so please any one let me know what may be the problem with.

The video card which you have is of GTX 480, and now the problem is faced for view port in smooth mesh preview, so i feel that the problem is related to the drivers so you may use the latest drivers to be installed such as the nvidea drivers,if you feel that the problem is with the card then may try to use the ATI card which may be preferable.

The GTX 480 card for the maya 2010/2011, and the problem you feel for the view port as it lags, therefore according to me the application does not perform with the GTX 480,so there might be the requirement for the updation of the application of view port on the machine which you use, or the hardware configuration might be not supporting it.

There are some limitations for maya 2010/2011,AutoCAD 2011 is not currently supported by the NVIDIA AutoCAD Performance Driver. The setting controlling this graphics mode (in the Manual Performance Tuning dialog accessed by the GraphicsConfig command) is grayed-out when the Performance Driver is active,Procedural Materials and Maps introduced with AutoCAD 2011 will only display with the material’s diffuse color
