How Important is video card? ATI Radeon HD5570 Graphics card VS HD5770?

You know I want to change my machine and I have two option right now one is Gateway FX6840-03e i7/8 memory and price is $1100 or maybe $1200 and 2nd one is Gateway FX6840-01e at with price for Cost $999. But there is only one difference and that is the graphic card. First one has 5570 and the 5770. The price difference is almost $100 to $200. So what you think that this graphic card is worth for extra amount $100- $200? Basically I play games online ion facebook, work with photoshope and html editing and watch TV and sometime I search on internet. So I never found need of video card. I really do not know about graphic card. Explain me.

It’s strange that you do not know about graphic card. You told me that you play game son facebook and for these types of games, there is no need to use graphic card normally. But if you want me advise about these ATI 5770 and ATI 5570 then I will tell both card has huge difference. If you are choosing 5770 for gaming then it make a very big difference. But for your work uses I will suggest you only ATI 5570 and it will be fine for you. And for what you are doing here just reduce your RAM to 6gigs after that u will be able to use triple channel and if u not do this then u need to reduce your processor too i5 . There is no need to use i7 for photoshop.

You are not playing any intensive games to use graphic card. Graphic card or Video card is an expansion card whose function is to generate output images to a display. Lots of graphic card offers to display 2D and 3D video scenes. Nowadays there is lots of heavy game like Crisis, God of war need graphic card to work on your PC. Without graphic card you cannot play all this games. But the games you are playing are normal animated games and there is no need to use graphic card and even you processor i7 is more than enough for very work. But if you really want to buy one pc then go for Gateway FX6840-03e.

Basically I use my laptop for office uses but some time I also like to play games like NFS and I use ATI HD 5570 graphic card on my laptop. It mainly for slim line PC and with half height board. This Graphic card does not require power connecter and also give better performance just in $50. Sometime u will find some struggle with direct 11 drivers test. Here is one more card I have seen on my friend’s laptop it is HD 5670 which give better performance just in $20 more. The $80 HD 5570 more than twice the performance of the $50 HD 4550 in almost all our tests, but its DirectX 11 performance was far from stellar.

1. You know I am just using graphic card from last 6 months, 6 months ago I was completely zero about all these graphic cards. And form that day I have experienced just 2 graphics card and my choice is HD 5570. 5570 core clock speed is 650 MHz and it is similar with HD 5450. It has 1 GB DDR3 RAM while HD 5450 has 512 MB RAM. HD 5570's 520 gigaflops of compute power is a complete 5 times the 104 gigaflops found in the $50 HD 5450. The HD 5570's gives power sketch (38 watts under load, 9.7 watts when idle) is approximately 2 times that of the HD 5450, but this card it still takes all the power it wants from the PCI Express x16 slot, making for an easy upgrade that shouldn't require a more powerful power supply.
