    ATI (AMD) Radeon 9250

I had freshly installed Windows 7 and before that I was using Windows XP. After upgrade I am facing issue with my display output. I have a Radeon 9250 128Mb graphic card and the same works well. Right now I am using the default vga driver which comes with Windows 7. I am not able to get good resolution out of that. My resolution is stucked on 800x600. Does updating the drivers will provide some help.

I am having the same card in my system. Here what I did that first I had used the ATI drivers for the card. Then after upgrading to Windows 7 my system screen suddenly crashed. I faced a blue screen. It shows some ati2atg.dll file missing on the system. For that I tried changing the AGP Aperture. But nothing worked here. Does this can be cured by VGA driver support. The maximum resolution that I found is 1920x1080.

I also have the same graphic card in my system and there is some issue with the card on Windows 7. I had first updated the official drivers of the card and installed Unreal Tournament 3. I am getting right now 60 FPS on the game. I will recommend you to upgrade the Windows driver they are just awesome and works well. You can also update the current drivers of your graphic card which can provide you much help.

First go and check in your system and that operating system which you are using is Windows 7 32 bit or Windows 7 64 bit. It is possible that you are using a wrong driver for the system. I will recommend you to run Windows Update to ensure the right drivers for the system. Basically Windows 7 has a good driver database which accept most of the system hardware.

Try uninstalling the driver that you have to put the final version with the 6.11. There is no problem and the ATI Radeon 9250 comes with the cd which you must keep safe because the same driver is really hard to search and install. You can go to the official site of ATI and look for the appropriate drivers. There is current updates provided for the same.

    Re: ATI (AMD) Radeon 9250

The ATI Radeon 9250 has many new features and and the technological level of a Radeon 9000 or a Radeon 8500. The only difference with the Radeon 9200 is reduced by 10 Mhz core clock speed of 240 Mhz. And this is the curious thing about the Radeon 9250, because starting from the product name should be faster but the graphics chip. Run the Windows update for that.

For that you must first uninstall the old driver before. The easiest is removing the same from the Control Panel and then going under Add Remove program. Under that remove the same and then install the new one. There is a new and then under software. there should be something like ATI software will uninstall.
then reboot and then do install the new one.
