    XFX 5850 hitting 91c

Hey buddy, I am using XFX 5850. My pc configuration is 2gb RAM, 500gb HD and running on windows xp. But In that I am facing a serious problem. Actually I just ran furmark. But when I was using that it's temperature crossing the point of 91c. I just want to ask that is it really hot for this card? Because I was remembering that I had read this on site in that they were telling that it it maxing out in the upper 70c. So can you please suggest me it okay or not?

I am using this. But like you it doesn't happen with me. But even though I have google on this. And in some of reply I have seen that they have written that It is happening because of the cooling problem and that is why temperature raised. For that they have give the solution that try antec 900 two cooling fan, So it will cool it. And you can enjoy.

Hey buddy I am also using the same card. And where you have seen that 70 is peak. Because when I use it crosses the limit of 102c. And ya at that time I was also worry but then one of my cousin suggest me that it is normal. He told me that furmark getting almost any card in the limit of 90c that is not a big deal.

Hey I don't know whose telling that 102c is normal. Because I am using 470 which hit around 93c. And in you case for 5850 91 is very much it is like unacceptable. I have also read on the official site there I come to know that for 5850 80c tops. So you just go for the cooling fan. And in this one of the user has suggested for that fan. I think it is nice one. So go for that.

Hey friends, I am also using the same card. And it is also touching 87c. But I want to ask you that whether or not to return it. Because it comes along the warranty. And warranty is for the life time. So what to do please suggest me. As soon as it is possible. And Ya one more point should I go for that fan which is mentioned in the reply by one of the user. And if it will solve this then please tell me soon.

Hey hi friends, I just want tell you that when I was using 5850 it hardly reaches the 50c. And then I have bought 4850 card now it is easily brake the 85c. But in your case it it crossing too much. Try some other options also by searching on the net. I think you just search it on the official site of this card. And hope from there you will get the answer.

Hey your problem is critical. You just forget about the furmark. And just tell me that what was the regular temperature or this 91 is regular? If you tell me this then actually I can get an idea that what is the real problem in your case. And ya you just try to download some proper tool so from that you can see how much voltage it is applying for the maximum speed. The ideal is for me that is in 5870 it is 0.950v and when it load it runs at 1.175v. This the bios setting which is I am telling you. Search for your card also it will help you a lot.
