9800GX2 vs GTX460

I am running with the EVGA 9800 GX2 that I still like to have but was looking to upgrade in the future. My pockets are not real deep via and was required to stay around the 250 dollar mark. I have been searching for some benchmarks of the GTX 460 and the overclocking capacity of them and was just considering your guys opinion of which is working better performance wise. My 9800 GX2 is slightly overclocked as well and was considering for the watercooling of the same and adding this to my loop. I have a 22" LCD and work with the native 1680x1050 res.

Do you required to increased the performance, increased the heat, increased the power consumption and DirectX 11 compatibility ? You have to just remember that any performance improvement will be minimal aside from larger resolutions when the main drawback of the 9800GX2 is the memory bandwidth. The bandwidth specified is not so much of the issue at the same resolution for most of the games.

Fine, I was just thinking some benchmarks...you have to initially just play the games at my 22 inch resi and in the future should be having 120 hz LCD that is 22 inch also...I like to look of my 9800 GX2 even though I am sure that it is not the beast of a card recently that it should have been. I received a great deal a while back on Ebay for the same and would not like to allow this to go but if recently released games are moving to start to punish the same at 1680 resi and I was looking to upgrade... I like to have a new video card every other year or so and since I am not a huge benchmark person and was searching roughly mid range to high end...

I have recently upgraded from a Gx2 and I can figure out a big difference within the latest games (Metro, bad company 2 and so on ). I only play at 1680 x 1050 and I can max out the configuration in just about every game with the gtx 460 1GB sc whereas with my gx2 I was not capable to. Do the same, it is worth the money and you would not regret the same ( I was able to sell my gx2 on ebay and pay for the majority of the 460 fyi).

I have some questions about the possible setup with such type of cards :

Tuniq Tower CPU Cooler

1- What is the power supply suggested for the 2x GTX 460 768MB SLI in this theoretical system? I scanned the reviews but they entirely have 1000W PSU's that is obviously overkill.
2- Do you consider that it would be worth it performance-wise to upgrade from the 9800 GX2?
3- Finally, is it worth to have 1GB version ? If so then will the wattage change ?
