Quit Eyefinity Went Surround GTX260 SLI Benchmarks

I quit Eyefinity to moving surround the current week. I had two root complaints. The Active Display Port Adapter is the hotfix that I personally think that it will be phased out in a years time and on other hand Crossfire Eyefinity benchmarks did not impress me in the least so hanging on to my HD 5870 with the intent of eventually purchasing different one and that was a waste of money.

I was just looking for two GTX460 1GB's but could not find the ones that I needed and came upon the same which were $99+$4.99 shipping so I am glad to report for my surround configuration that I paid $207.83 completely . Now did it pay out?

I am fine going with my selection to buy but my one and only complaint is the cards are enormous , but I still controlled to adjust them within my Antec900 with only running to shuffle forward the fan bays.

Heat production looks par common at 40% fan speed in evga precision 60-70 degrees - I loved this software package that was included with such type of cards: Fraps, Precision Utility and 3dMark Vantage Advanced is ready as a download from EVGA.com once you register your graphics cards.

Yes !! I don't think that you will be suffering so much with the micro-stutter at the setting of 1680x1050, it would require to be a games configuration and resolution where the single one card would suffer to produce consistently above 30fps where it would becoming recordable, and likely only when which would be minimum 20fps that it would be noticeable, because you would require the same point where the second card was unable to render that one frame in and expected time frame section of the 60fps workload.

According to me, this is the last GPU upgrade and I will be performing until earliest next spring .. The finally posted the 4870 review with the DDR5 talk

Also in current newsreel , Nvidia will have near about dx10.1 compatibility by the Q1 2009 they claim. Guess my prediction was absolute, I would expect to get a same newsreel saying Windows Vista becoming the mainstream desktop operating system by Q4 2008 as well...

I am just telling that the AMD has not gotten four single cards to perform in the appropriate manner and let alone scale on their 790 FX platform

I am quite considering for the 4870x2 quadfire on Intel x48 though; I am eager to find out the procedure that scales because it is supposed to be upwards of 180% scaling for the single one GPU just as the 130- 140% for Crossfire 4870s - so maybe the Quadfire 4870x2 will have some well scaling as well..

Yeah, it seems as the 4800 X2s are moving to kick ass. I know and just hope that the AMD could be go ahead with the boost and Nvidia could go ahead with a little kick to have them moving again. Still, seems as you have got some so fine cards on your hands. That is a pretty cool overclock - stock heatsinks and fans, fine ?
