    GTX 460 vs. 5850 Comparison

I really wanted to buy Last week an ati 5850 but was then on the relase of the current GTX 460 carefully. I have now read many review for the GTX 460 can keep up easily with a 5850 and even that is far more advance. I need some better points on the same. I think the GTX 460 can not keep up with a 5850. With the GeForce 460 we are dealing with a new chip, the GeForce 104 and not a simple adjustment of the GeForce 100 chip used in GeForce GTX 470 and GeForce GTX 465.

The HD 5850 is slightly better, but has a worse value for money. If you like this one which is slightly faster performance than the HD5850 for less. The GTX460 to be preferred on the Powercolor 5850. I mean, the 5850 cost less then what you will have to pay for GTX 460. Almost the same amount. The other challenge for NVIDIA with the GeForce GTX 460 is coming back on land that has been abandoned for too long.

HD 5850 is the one recommended for all. The Radeon HD 5850 is therefore only 15% less powerful than the Radeon HD 5870 (and 15% faster than the GTX 285), for a price 31% lower and all other benefits retained, see improved. There is quiet a big difference in the range of money and performance in both the cards. Basically people recommends Nvidia.

There are lots of changes in the GTX 460. NVIDIA could simply divide one by two GF100 which would have led to 256 shader cores, 32 texturing units and a 192 bit memory bus, but this would have positioned well below the GTX 465 (352 shader cores, 32 textured units and 256-bit bus). Worse still, such a card would have just been able to compete with an HD 5770 while showing a significantly higher consumption.

Re: GTX 460 vs. 5850 Comparison

I had gone through a benchmark test for both the cards. The standard ATI Radeon HD 5850 goes round MSI GeForce GTX 460 Cyclone with factory overclocking as much as 25% in DirectX 9 and resolving 1920x1200 of resolution. But once the movie is DirectX 11, the situation is reversed: the solution from NVIDIA to 10% higher than the opponent. This is a significant difference indicates that the GTX 460 is more suitable for new games support DX11.

First, the 460th performance was between 5830 and 5850, then suddenly almost equal with 5850, and now 5870. First it was between 5770 and 5830 and then came between 5830 and 5850. And now has two 460 and 5850. Do you believe that the 1GB version will be 10% more productive than 768MB. If yes then that might give you a hint which one you should go for.

The GTX 460 is more powerful than the GTX 465. In terms of performance this card is much better but on the same hand costlier also. It's pretty impressive for a chip that is still etched into 40 nm and still has 1.95 billion transistors which makes this card a well performer. It depends on the system configuration you have and the choice of games you will going to play further.
