    How to flash a GTX465 to GTX470

According to some, it is possible to flash the bios of a GTX 465 for the GTX 470 in turn. But the GTX 465 only has 1024 MB of memory against 1280 for the GTX 470. How this miracle is possible? I have heard that it is possible to flash a GTX465 to GTX470. But the thing is that if it is possible then what is the procedure for doing this and if we are doing this then what are the drawbacks of these.

As far as I know test card is a GTX 465 with the PCB has 10 memory chips including two disabled core. This is probably a copy of GTX 470 flashed with bios 465, which was then in re-flashing GTX 470. It is likely that this site has received a copy of pre-series and not a final copy. The interest in selling a castrated GTX 470 is low since it amounts to undercut a GTX 470. Or, some brands will play on that to raise a buzz by selling GTX 465 with 10 memory chips with the underlying argument can turn it into GTX 470.

If you are going to look at test model Zotac GeForce GTX 465 for it included good 8 memory chips instead of 10, two slots are empty on the PCB. With our GeForce GTX 465, a flash is unlikely to succeed and if it succeeds, it will never be one because he missed 467.5 GTX 256MB of memory. It has more processors per cons of active flows.

It is possible that the GTX 465 GPU stream processors have failed and that the reactivation of cores missing the GTX 470 is transformed into balance by glitches. It also remains to be seen whether these operations are possible on flash cards GTX 465 using a specific design because Nvidia has given carte blanche in terms of manufacturers design for the GTX 465.

I hesitated to put the AC and make a new topic go but it is fun. And yes, you do not dreaming, you can activate streams processors to switch to 448 (instead of 352 I think) and even recovered 1280mo RAM and a 320-bit bus. Needless to say with that, we pass a 5850 and equal to 470. I looked quickly; apparently simple software allows Asus to reactivate the SP, for the memory is flash the bios of the cg.

For now, the 1GB version is the most interesting. Hoping they not mix everything is already mess of having two different sets under the same name. Finally, I think this famous card will be very interesting. The 460 they annotation that there were two versions and the 465, it is the testers who have realized. The 465 would never have to go out anyway in my opinion.

As usual, your security risks side! I think the more security of the 465 is not a big joke, it's a bantering! It is sure that if you modify the bios of your card, it will not pass. Otherwise it's a bit of roulette to buy a GTX465 hoping to flash in the GTX470, but hey, it always good to know. At the same time when you buy a GTX465 is that you have nothing to lose. Nvidia Never buy the first jet card and especially not between the card and renames!
