How is Radeon 5850 ?

Hello fellas,

I am considering Radeon 5850 for my PC, and here are it's specs:

1) 4 gb ddr3
2) running Win 7
3) X4 965 Black Edition processor
4) 500 gb HDD

Had some questions around Radeon 5850 :

1) what is the average price of Radeon 5850 around Delhi/NCR
2) Heard someone say that it has issues and makes the OS hang frequently, and heard someone else say that there are no problems and the card is just awesome. So im a little confused, can someone second one of these arguments?
3) Will it fit in my budget of 11-12k Rs. ?
4) Any other better alternative in that price range?

The price of SAPPHIRE HD5850 1GB GDDR5 PCIE comes to around Rs. 17,250.00 in mumbai, so you can expect atleast .5k to 1k drop in price in delhi for the same card, so it wont fit in your budget perhaps. If you are looking for GDDR5 technology only then you can get SAPPHIRE HD5830 1GB GDDR5 @ Rs. 14,500.00 or less. And as for you second question's ans, due to the large size of the Radeon 5850 card, you need to have a big atx full tower cabinet, so that it wont give you overheating and lock up problems, also you need to have a 750 watt psu for same.
