Nvidia 8600GT x 2 vs. nvidia 9600GT

Hi there,

i think this is the right place to ask.
i want to know your "professional" opinion for this issue:

which is better:

two identical Nvidia 8600GT on SLI

or

a single nvidia 9600GT.

we're talking here about standard versions of both types, no overclocking involved.

Well, to be precise, single nvidia 9600GT will give same or maybe a lil bit more gaming performance when comapring 2 Nvidia 8600GT in SLI. You can easily play Crysis @ 1280@1024 resolution with the 9600GT on high settings. So I suppose, 9600gt is the way to go and much better than the 8600GT or with a few more price you can go for the 8800gts (g92) video card.

the 9600Gt and the Ati HD4650 cost around the same, if you are not an nvidia fanboy, you can go for the ati as its better value for the cost.
