Radeon HD 4650 on Linux - System Freezes

The system freezes every time after I toggle a user and then log-off. After logging off, the display turns black and nothing works to any further extent. This wouldn't be a actual hitch, but dejectedly the system freezes non reproducible from time to time: occasionally during gaming, sometimes during working or watching a video - I can't reproduce it, but the system hangs and the preceding image is frozen on the screen, nothing works anymore. Please help me to fix this problem.

Try to do the following things :
    • Put the old video card and installed (updated Microsoft Update) Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0
    • The new video card (ATI Radeon HD 4650) and restart Windows XP.

Also try to start the Windows in Safe Boot and then repair your operating system.

A newcomer in the field of graphics cards ATI, XFX manufacturer makes a first update of its catalog. Partner with AMD since the beginning of the year, the manufacturer has already several Radeon HD 4000 series following the nominal frequencies, pending versions-timed (Overclocked). The new Radeon HD 4650 features a passive cooling system making it completely silent. A heat pipe system is used to clear heat from the GPU clocked at 600 MHz to a radiator located on the other side of the card. She also embarks 1GB of DDR2 memory running at 1000 MHz 128-bit and has two dual-link DVI outputs and an S-video.

The innovative point of ATI drivers version 10.1 is the fact that we started a new branch. While the drivers are always the Catalyst (proprietary drivers), but we can see that for some time now, ATI has really made great efforts to catch up on the drivers for the free world, with a support x86 and x64 , support for various Linux OS, support for virtually all of ATI graphics cards, an interface for configuration and graphics card.
