can't install Catalyst 10.2 on my HD5850

Earlier I am using HD 5850 on which Catalyst 9.12 is running. Now I have bought HD 5750 and I have installed Catalyst 10.2 on it. After some times I again switch back to HD 5850, but It doesn't work properly. Catalyst 10.2 doesn't work on HD 5850. I don't know why I can't install Catalyst 10.2 on my HD 5850. Please help me to fix this problem.

From your information it is unable to determine exact solution for your problem. I think there is some problem in your video card and that's why you are getting problem. You can uninstall your video card and reinstall it. There must be a problem with the catalyst. Same for NETFramework, you can remove it without problem in addition / removal. Just try it.

The ATI Catalyst Control Center for my graphics card working again since I downloaded the Microsoft.net Frameworks Version 3. I have an ATI Radeon 9250 which works well. Problem: when you click on the ATI icon in the lower right or on the desktop, nothing happens except an hourglass that lasts a fraction of a second, more access to the software.

The CrossFireX is great, the Eyefinity ok not bad as well as I do not serve at all but a few more perf would not be bad at all It makes me mad just to see a map showing 2 TFLOPS power having a hard time behind the nvidia with less power (see GTX285). There's only to see heaven on HFR BDD example Vantage and even admitting that this is not just the workbenches in vieEdit: I tried to update the HD3650 to my laptop but it is not!

I have no problem with my 5850 and the 10.1, the only small thing a little odd is that now when my screen goes into standby button stays green screen instead of going to orange, I thought my screen was starting to annoying, but I ' I tested on another tour under xp and 9.12 and the button becomes much orange! So either it comes from either Seven 1.10 64 bit is good but not very serious!

I have the same problem as you with the same message and unable to accede to control catalyst center.je running windows xp media center edition sp2, my card is an ATI xpress 200. when I downloaded the latest driver and catalyst, I read an English text saying he had to have the minimum version of Microsoft NET Framework 2.0 to avoid problems with catalyst.

Use following steps to fix this problem.
Download the updated drivers

- Decompress the file in the directory of your choice (eg C: \ ATI \ SUPPORT \ 8-8_vista32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_67980 \ Bin)

- Open a command prompt in admin mode (Start / Accessories / Command Prompt -> right click -> Run as admin)

- Go to the directory "Bin" (or "Bin64" for Vista 64-bit) located in the folder you unzipped. Use the cd command to go into the directory (eg: ...> cd \ ATI \ SUPPORT \ 8-8_vista32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_67980 \ Bin)

- Uninstall the drivers may already present with the command: "ATISetup.exe-Uninstall-output screen"

- Install packages (ATI drivers + CCC) with the command: "ATISetup.exe-Install-output screen"

- Restart: "Shutdown / g"

Just wanted to bump this to say thanks to David, and in case anyone else comes across this thread with the same problem. Been trying to find a fix for this with my HD 5970 and was nearly going to just go for a reformat since it didn't look like I had any options. Followed what David23 typed up and it worked like a charm.
